I don't usually write reviews because, unfortunately, my experiences with dental clinics have almost always been negative. However, my experience at Dr. Calat's office was truly exceptional. Dr. Calat is the first dentist in my entire 30 years of life who made me feel genuinely cared for. From the very beginning, he took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and goes the extra mile to make them feel at ease. I have a severe phobia of needles, and this was one of my biggest concerns before the procedure. Dr. Calat was incredibly patient and gentle, making sure I experienced as little discomfort as possible while administering the local anesthesia. His calm approach made a huge difference for me. To my surprise, the surgery itself was completed very quickly, and my recovery has been much easier than with previous tooth extractions. I've had significantly less pain than I expected, which speaks volumes about his skill and technique. I highly recommend Dr. Calat and his entire team to anyone looking for a dentist who is not only highly skill

My experience getting my wisdom teeth extracted with Dr. Calat was astoundingly straight forward and smooth. During our consultation, I was shown my X Rays and given a very comprehensive break down of what exactly the issue was and our options for the procedure were. Dr. Calat was incredibly warm, assuring, and professional, encouraging me to weigh in and ask all the questions I had. Because of this, the day of the procedure went very well and I had all my nerves at ease. The extraction happened before I even knew it, and I experienced very little pain during the following week. The Mid-Manhattan Oral team texted me to ask how I was healing and ensured I was comfortable and taking care of the healing process. Overall, I felt incredibly cared for and attended to, and I am shocked at how easy and painless the process was, especially as someone who gets nervous about invasive medical procedures. I would absolutely recommend to Dr. Calat for all things oral surgery - He is one of the nicest and down to earth medical professionals I have interacted with.

I had a great experience with Dr.Calat during my wisdom tooth removal(all 4). I was in extreme discomfort beforehand, but Dr.Calat was kind, patient, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. They explained everything clearly and helped me feel relaxed, especially when it came time for the procedure. The removal went smoothly, and I truly appreciate the care and kindness I received from the entire staff, especially Lismary who helped accommodate me under short notice due to my symptoms. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for a caring and skilled dentist.

I went to Dr. Calat for two wisdom teeth extractions and was really pleased with my experience. The procedure was as painless as possible and Dr. Calat walked me through every step of the way. He answered all of my questions and explained everything clearly. Above all, I loved his calm demeanor and the warm and welcoming nature of his entire staff. Compassion and undivided attention go a very long way, especially when it comes to preparing to undergo scary procedures, and I was so grateful to have been treated with both so generously throughout my visit. I would happily bring any of my loved ones to him if they needed it because I know they’d be in good hands.

I had my wisdom teeth removed here and, as a very anxious adult, I can honestly say the experience was far better than I expected. The entire team was incredibly understanding and supportive from start to finish. Dr. Calat made me feel comfortable right away, taking the time to explain everything and answer all my questions without rushing me. I chose to have the procedure done under sedation, and it made a huge difference—I felt and remembered nothing which is great :) My recovery has been better than I anticipated. If you’re nervous about dental surgery, especially wisdom teeth removal, I highly recommend this office. They truly know how to take care of anxious patients.
